Instagram Pressure: Embracing Real-Life Moments

Confession: I’ve been trying to keep up with all these epic images I see posted on Instagram. I have some very talented friends and they seem to be in the middle of amazing scenes all the time. Call it peer pressure, but I have felt the need to keep up. My life isn’t full of these “Instagram-able” moments, and I’m not looking to get discovered or go viral. More often than not, I’m at the grocery store, doing laundry, cleaning the litter box, working in the yard…

I do enjoy seeing light and how it falls on objects. Maybe a book on the shelf looks like it’s glowing. Maybe the light is spilling beautifully across the living room. Perhaps there’s a gentle light illuminating something in a new way that I haven’t noticed. These are the things around me and that’s what I want to document.

Whew, that felt good. 😊

If you made it all the way through that, thank you for listening. ❤️
