I still love to fly. I don’t care for all the procedural stuff immediately before and after the flight. I just love the flying part. It’s especially enjoyable when a window is involved.
On my last flight home from Tokyo, I kept the M11-P paired with a 35mm Summicron V4 with me at my seat. I decided not to pack it in the carry-on. I challenged myself to create a photo essay of the journey home through the window. My goal was to immerse the viewer in my experience. So, I left a little bit, or sometimes all, of the window frame in the scene.
The story begins from the push-back from our gate at Henada International Airport (HND) and ends with touchdown at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA).

Thanks for joining me on this flight back home from Tokyo.
Bravo! Excellent essay. I loved seeing these great photos through the window. Truly wonderful. And yes, always tears leaving Tokyo.
